favorite movie & first kiss

  • 1: Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie.
  • 2: Talk about your first kiss.

1. My favorite movie is Practical Magic, I don't remember the first time I watched practical magic since I was so young, but I will tell you why it's my favorite movie.
Practical Magic makes me think of my mother and I. sometimes people think i'm crazy for loving it so much, but it's a sense of comfort. This movie centered around women independence, sisterly bondage, open mindedness, doing whatever you can for the people you love, natural magic, and love. Every time I feel alone, or need to feel a sense of equilibrium, I think to watch this movie. It has been a part of my life since I was in the wee years of my life. When I was younger, my mother and I would watch it while drinking tea and eating shortbread cookies, we started having practical magic parties where we would take baths with only candle light and bubbles. As I grew older, it became a bondage between a couple close friends and I, for we knew how the women felt in it- that's the only way I can describe it for Hannah Yandow, Tiffanie Allen and I. Maybe it's because we have grown with independent mothers which forced us to be independent. I'm not sure but it gives me the best feeling in the world, almost like I'm little again.

2. My first kiss.. Well I'm not going to lie to you guys, I was a little rebel when I was in elementary school (shocker); I did kiss a few boys. But I honestly don't count those, my first kiss that I count was in the 6th grade. It was my best guy friends birthday (who was best friends with my "boyfriend". We were in a hummer limo on our way home from the Haunt (it was in october), and I was so nervous; I'm guessing my boyfriend and I had talked about this happening, but I don't remember for sure. We were sitting next to each other in the limo, when we pulled up to my house. I was super anxious (like I still am when I anticipate a kiss).. We waited for a second, granted there were a ton of us 12 year old's in the limo, which made me EXTRA nervous. He grabbed my side, leaned in, and gave me a quick kiss. I got up as quickly as I could (I was in a short jean skirt, bless my heart), and ran off the Hummer. All night I remember being so happy and excited, although that was the most pathetic first kiss ever. Non-the-less, that was my first kiss! All the awkwardness involved, go ahead and Bless my Heart.
